HOME is the dining concept from chefs Mark Owens and Elizabeth Cottam. The team believes that there’s more to dining out than just great food. Home offers a genuine, warm welcome, a relaxed environment where diners arrive as customers and leave as friends. Dishes are distinctive, yet deliberately familiar. The aim is to redefine classic British flavours and serve them to guests by way of carefully curated tasting menus. HOME is about creating a relaxed way to enjoy what’s commonly known as fine dining.

It was a great experience especially with the chef coming out to speak to each table about the food. This was a great experience and the wine added to the menu as it very much complemented the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a lovely place for a date or special occasion.
Superb food from somebody who has a real passion and flair for cooking. Liz is unique in coming round and introducing herself and deliverying each course personally. It was lovely to meet her and a delight to dine with her.

Fantastic food and service, the whole experience was excellent. Elizabeth Cottam is a name we will remember, i’m sure she will go on and become a household name. We travelled from Nottingham and stayed in the Hotel Ellington for the night, the whole evening was one we will remember for many years.
Amazing food, Michelin quality food without the price tag! Elizabeth Cottam really is making a name for herself and I for one will definitely return for more of her delicious food…especially the dessert (A-MAZING). The only issue we had was that the waiters didn’t have great wine knowledge, we asked for dessert wine and were recommended some wines that could go with the dessert…but weren’t actually dessert wines as they didn’t have any…but that is only a minor criticism of what was otherwise a lovely dinner.
Fabulous evening at the New Ellington! Elizabeth Cottam’s food was exquisite and, as a Masterchef semi-finalist, she more than lived up to expectations. In particular, I really enjoyed the wild mushroom consomme and the fish course of cod with textures of cauliflower – it was truly delicious. My fish was cooked to perfection! The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, but at the same time feels special. The chef, Elizabeth, spent a little time with all the guests during the evening. She’s passionate about her food and is a lovely, engaging person. Highly recommend this place to foodies and non-foodies alike. As an up and coming chef, Elizabeth Cottam is definitely one to watch.
